In the Area 8 studies on both economic and social aspects of telecommunications are carried out.

A multidisciplinary approach has been developed joining together theories, frameworks and tools coming from economic, social and psychological fields.

Results, in terms of scientific papers, reports and working papers, constitute an original contribution to the Italian ICT sector and the necessary operative support to the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Department of Telecommunications.
