Sergio Pompei


Sergio Pompei was born in 1977 in Rome.

He received his degree in Telecommunications Engineering from "La Sapienza" University of Rome after he finished his graduation thesis working for Fondazione Ugo Bordoni entitled "Feasibility Study of IP-HDTV services in an integrated multivendor network". He realized an IP Network joining 7 routers, 4 Juniper M10 and 3 Cisco 3845, setting up OSPF, MPLS and BGP protocols, in a way to testing HD video transmission for QoE analysis. The graduation thesis is part of e-Photon-One+ VD-M project.

His work after the degree is still with Fondazione Ugo Bordoni, focusing on different ITC projects in collaboration with ex Communication Ministry, now Economic Development Ministry. Actually he is responsible of the Atena Project.

Working with AgCom (Guarantee in Communications Agency) he realized monitoring infrastructure of, Internet Quality of Service Measurement (244 resolution).

During the period working with FUB he presented several works to National and International conferences, together with the publication of some articles in different specialized magazines.
