Graduated in Electronic Engineering (with honours). Specialised in Organisational Sciences. Since 1982 she is with Fondazione Ugo Bordoni. Until 1986 her research activity was in the field of television systems. Since 1987 she has realised/coordinated user experience experimental research in videoconferencing, distance learning, distance work, telemedicine, t-government, DTT, e-health. She has been involved in several research projects: promoted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and of Labour, AGID, inside ESA and the EU research programmes (RACE, ACTS, FP7, AAL, H2020).

Her current research interests include: adoption, user experience and acceptance models for elderly, young, and non-internet users of TV services, digital classroom, e-health, biometric authentication, Public Administration digitalisation.

She is author of more than 200 scientific publications. She participated as Italian delegate/expert to CCIR 11 (ITU-R) study group, EU RACE Program, COST Actions 212, 219, 289 and ETSI HF1 study group. She is academic editor for the multidisciplinary journal PlosOne.
