Nel quadro delle iniziative del Progetto RESTART, finanziato dall’Unione Europea attraverso i fondi PNRR – a cui la Fondazione Ugo Bordoni contribuisce con tre progetti – è in programma un appuntamento formativo dedicato al ruolo dell’intelligenza artificiale nelle reti di telecomunicazione di nuova generazione, dal 5G verso il 6G.
L’evento, intitolato “AI Elements in 5G towards 6G Networks”, si terrà martedì 27 maggio alle ore 17:30 in formato tutorial e sarà presentato dai ricercatori della Direzione Scientifica FUB, Francesco Matera e Marina Settembre.
Descrizione Tutorial
This tutorial aims to analyse the relationship that exists between Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies and 5G networks towards 6G, delving into the opportunities and challenges posed by the adoption of AI both within individual network domains and in cross domain perspectives. We wil describe the main key standardization and open-source initiatives related to AI adoption in 5G networks and beyond (e.g. 3GPP SA2 and SA5, O-RAN, ETSI Zero Touch Service Management, ONAP), illustrating the reference architectures, considering the approaches towards native AI and Cloud Native. We also report some points of view from ITA-NTN, NETWIN and 6GWINET projects.
