Cosimo Dolente

He has been with FUB since 2010 and is a senior researcher specializing in the economic and technical analysis of ICT services and, more broadly, in innovation economics and its impact on systems and public policies. Over the years, he has developed expertise ranging from feasibility studies for new digital services and assessments of the economic and social value of radio spectrum use to econometric analyses of network demand and advanced data analysis for understanding complex phenomena and supporting decision-making processes.

 

He also works on economic–industrial analysis methods for impact assessment and the resilience of strategic value chains, as well as on technology scouting in the field of enabling technologies.

 

From 2018 to 2025, he supported the Institute’s former “Organization, Planning and Project Development Directorate,” contributing to internal organization, strategic planning, and the coordination and oversight of FUB projects.

 

He earned a Ph.D. in Industrial and Management Engineering in 2017 from Sapienza University of Rome, with a dissertation titled “Nature and Causes of the Digital Divide in Italy: A Microdata-Based Study.” He graduated in Management Engineering from the same university in 2010 and began his career between 2007 and 2010 in the planning and control division of Leonardo’s Grottaglie (TA) aerospace plant, then operating under the name Alenia Aeronautica.
