Francesco Giancaterini

Francesco Giancaterini joined Fondazione Ugo Bordoni in September 2025 as a researcher in econometrics and data analysis, focusing on the evaluation of public policies and the study of economic trends.

He earned a Master’s degree cum laude in Economics and Economic Policy from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Econometrics from Maastricht University, where he specialized in time series analysis. During his doctoral studies, he was awarded the Mitacs Globalink Research Award, which enabled him to collaborate with York University in Toronto. He then completed a 20-month postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, further developing models for the analysis of economic dynamics.

Author of publications in international scientific journals, at FUB he applies quantitative methods to support policy decisions and to interpret the evolution of economic phenomena.
