Caterina Giovannetti has been a researcher at Ugo Bordoni Foundation since May 2026.
She received the master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering with honors in 2022 and she is currently concluding her Ph.D. in Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technologies Engineering at the University of Bologna, in collaboration with CNR-IEIIT. Her research activity focuses on the analysis of the performance limits for localization and sensing exploiting extremely large aperture arrays and near-field propagation, within the context of integrated sensing and communication. Between 2022 and 2023, she was a researcher at CNR-IEIIT in Bologna, delving into the study of vehicular communications and their use for localization and sensing.
She is author and co-author of several scientific publications on top-tier journals and conferences and contributed to national and European projects. During her Ph.D., she developed a keen interest in science communication.
