The evolution and the growing pervasiveness of ICT have contributed to modify the notion of citizenship and the definition of individual and collective rights.

IT security is an issue of growing concern: from protection of sensitive data archived in digital format to the protection of minors.

From the market point of view, the growing acknowledgment of the centrality of individuals (intended as customers, users or citizens) and the focus on service (in terms of improvement, customization and satisfaction) are shared by public and private sectors.

FUB promotes the development of ICT while providing its technical-scientific support with regard to the QoS and IT security to operators, Public Administrations and independent authorities for citizens’ protection.

In addition, it encourages the awareness of citizens about their rights, and the comprehension of the regulation into force in the field of electronic communications, use of audiovisual media and privacy.
