Gaetano Bruno

Born in Rome in 1960, graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1986. From 1987 to 2000, as a researcher in Fondazione Ugo Bordoni (FUB) he  contributed to ISO and ITU activities dealing with telecommunication service specification languages and worked on five EC-funded research projects dealing with telecommunication service architectures, which have been predecessors of current NGN and quadruple play: ROSA, ROSA 2, Cassiopeia (RACE program); Dolmen (ACTS program); Starlite (IST program). From 2000 to 2002 he took charge of implementation and operation of the technical infrastructure of Gemplus R&D Department in Rome. Back in Fondazione in 2003 he has been since working for the introduction of Digital Terrestrial Television in Italy, dealing with: public funding to broadcasters, organization of technical events in trade fairs (SatExpo, Smau, ForumPA) and of the “Parco del Futuro” in a Conference of European Ministers for Communication held in 2003, monitoring of six FUB co-funded projects on T-government services including development and on-site testing.
