Graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Bologna in 1983, he worked as professonal consultant for Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi. By the end of 1985 he became a researcher in Fondazione Ugo Bordoni in Pontecchio Marconi (BO).
Among other activities, he worked at the project for the realization of a nationwide network for the environmental monitoring of the electromagnetic fields. Also, he was involved in a project aimed at the implementation of the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting television, and to the activity associated to the management of interference caused by LTE signals in the DVBT frequencies.
Moreover, he collaborates to a project for the evaluation of quality of service in mobile phones and other activities within the frame of conventions with Mise and Agcom.
