Massimo Celidonio

Received the Electronic Engineering Degree in 1991. He joined FUB as a researcher in the Radiocommunication Area. First he focused his studies on channel coding and source coding. Later he investigated on innovative network architectures for BWA and contributed in the exploitation and regulation of new radio technologies, supporting the Italian Public Administration, also taking part to trial activities using WiFi, WiMax and HiperLan technologies.

Over the years he participated several European projects. On behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development he was Member of the ECC/TG4 Working Group. He is author of more than 50 scientific publications and since 1995 he is an IEEE Member. Recently he carried out studies on the use of LTE in the UHF band investigating the coexistence with DVB-T signals. He is currently engaged in the study of 5G mobile radio systems coordinating a research project addressing the use of millimeter waves in the land radio mobile links.
