Marina Boumis was born in Rome on 22 October 1958. Degree in Physics in Rome in 1982. Consultant of UCEA and Department of Statistics of the University 'La Sapienza', for weather radar forecast (1982 -1984). Employee at the Division of Selenia/ELSAG Industrial Research Group (1984 – 1986).

In 1986 she joined the Fondazione Ugo Bordoni Radio Communications Division studying problems of electromagnetic wave propagation in the design of satellite communication systems.

She was responsible of the institutional relations with the Regional Agencies for Environmental Protection in the project " Italian electromagnetic field monitoring network” for the protection of citizens from exposure (2001 – 2007). In 2007 she was member of the technical board of the Ministry of Communications General Secretary.

She was member of the Ministry Task Force for the migration toward digital terrestrial TV, responsible of the operative management of the activities undertaken by the Foundation with the Ministry of economic development (2008 – 2012).

Since 2009 she is member of the Research Director staff and member of the board of directors of Elettra 2000, a consortium between FUB, Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi and the University of Bologna, which deals with environmental impact of electromagnetic fields. Since June 2012 she is chief of Fondazione Bordoni Technology Division.

Responsible of institutional relations with MISE DGSCERP - DGPGSR – ISCTI (2013 – 2015). On Sept 17th 2015 named Manager for the Prevention of Corruption of Fondazione Ugo Bordoni.
